Rwanda is one of the countries in East Central Africa, nicknamed, the heart of Africa. The country is still recovering from the genocide that devastated the nation two decades ago. Though the nation has done a lot in overcoming the power of poverty, the number of orphaned children is still high. Wholistic Transformation started the program in Rwanda in partnership with the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Gatsebo area. We currently support 10 children and over 50 members of families. The program is making sure the children are going to school and the caregivers are equipped to start income-generating activities such as raising goats.
